President
Gabrielle Dewhurst
Hey horsepeople! My name is Gab, and I grew up on a standardbred racehorse farm in Clinton, New York. I graduated from Cornell University where I ran Varsity track and cross country. I graduate-transferred all the way south to Florida Atlantic University and had the opportunity to become a graduate assistant coach when my eligibility finally expired. Although I no longer compete on the track, I have invested my competitive energy into my racehorse Rockford Peach, and my barrel pony King. Given my background, I aspire to become an equine practitioner with a focus on sports medicine. Go Big Red, Go Owls, and most importantly- Go Dawgs!

Treasurer
Brooklyn Stevenson
My name is Brooklyn Stevenson and I am a current first year veterinary student from Greenwood, South Carolina. I graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Animal and Veterinary Science with a pre-vet concentration. I grew up riding and showing horses, but solidified my love for large animal medicine in college while working at the equine center, participating in equine behavioral research, and being a member of the Clemson IHSA team. I plan to practice mixed animal medicine once I graduate, and am very excited about the opportunities this club will offer my fellow students!

Secretary
Meredith Barber
Hi everyone! My name is Meredith Barber, and I am from Dalton, GA. I graduated from UGA in 2022 and competed on the IHSA team all four years... Go dawgs!! I grew up riding and working on a hunter/jumper farm and still compete in the jumper ring on occasion. In my free time, I love riding my horse, Ritz, being outdoors, and hitting up the local coffee shops! I am interested in pursuing a career in Large Animal Medicine and have interests in GP, surgery, and sports medicine!

President-Elect
Reece Hughes

Hey y'all! My name is Reece Hughes and I'm from Atlanta, GA. I'm a true double Dawg and during my undergraduate years here I competed on our IHSA team. I've been working with horses as long as I can remember, all the way from mucking stalls to the show ring. I'm currently a 2nd year student focusing on large animal surgery and research, with an emphasis on horses of course. Outside of horses the loves of my life are the great outdoors and Georgia football. Go Dawgs!

Treasurer-Elect
Sierra Kane
Hey yall! My name is Sierra Kane and I’m from Greenwood, Delaware! I’ve been around horses since I can walk and it followed me into my undergraduate education as being a D1 athlete on Delaware State University’s Equestrian team where I competed for 4 years before vet school! I have shown my Appaloosa, Chipnotized (Hershey) in all around events for most of my life. From Delaware, to Massachusetts, and all the way to Texas, Hershey has been my show partner through it all!
Given my background with horses, I aspire to be an equine practitioner with a focus on general practice and sports medicine. I cannot wait to serve as your scAAEP treasurer in 2025-2026!

Hi! I’m Annabelle Jerman and I’m from Monroe Georgia. I graduated in 2024 from UGA‘s college of AG so I am a DAWG through and through. I’ve grown up with horses, my whole life, and when I finally decided to come to vet school, I knew large animal medicine is where I would land. My plan is to practice large animal ambulatory work because growing up in the industry I saw such a need.
